Konami has unveiled Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2, confirming the retro compilation will launch on Aug. 27, 2026 across multiple platforms including PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 1 and 2, and Xbox Series X/S.

The announcement was made during Sony’s PlayStation State of Play presentation and accompanied by a new trailer outlining the contents of the collection. Among the headline inclusions is Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, marking the first time the title will be playable outside the PlayStation 3 ecosystem, where hardware architecture had previously complicated porting efforts.

The compilation also features Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, presented in its HD Collection version originally released for PlayStation 3, including cooperative gameplay. In addition, the package includes Metal Gear: Ghost Babel, a handheld entry first launched for the Game Boy Color in 2000.

In the announcement, Konami confirmed the lineup, stating the collection “includes Metal Gear Solid 4 Guns of the Patriots, Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker, and Metal Gear Ghost Babel.” The publisher also said the package will feature digital bonuses such as official soundtracks, scripts and a Metal Gear Solid 4 database, with preorders offering in-game items including camouflage and a uniform.

The collection will retail for $49 and is available for preorder ahead of its late-summer release.
