Garmin has begun rolling out system software version 13.25 to users of its Instinct series smartwatches, delivering a bug fix tied to the recently introduced Smart Wake Alarm feature along with updated translations.
The update applies to the Garmin Instinct 3, Garmin Instinct E and Garmin Instinct Crossover models. According to the company, the release follows shortly after version 13.24 and is comparatively minor in scope. With system software 13.25, users are receiving “a Smart Wake Alarm related bug fix, to prevent possible crashes,” Garmin said.

The Smart Wake Alarm tool, introduced in version 13.24, is designed to adjust wake times based on sleep cycle data. Instead of setting a fixed alarm time, users can define a 30-minute window during which the device determines the most suitable moment to trigger the alarm, aiming to reduce grogginess upon waking.
In addition to the bug fix, the 13.25 update includes a Garmin Connect Mobile translation update. The prior 13.24 release added a Treadmill Walk activity and expanded Morning Report customization options for certain models, while the Instinct Crossover also received new watch face designs.

Garmin said the 13.25 update has been made available to approximately 20% of eligible users so far. The software is expected to install automatically when devices are connected to the Garmin Connect mobile app or Garmin Express computer software.
