Garmin has begun rolling out beta software version 21.32 for several of its premium smartwatches, including the Fenix 8, Enduro 3 and Tactix 8 models, with the update focusing on bug fixes and performance improvements.
The update is currently available only to users enrolled in Garmin’s beta testing program and is being distributed to non-Pro versions of the Fenix 8 lineup. As with many beta releases, some functions are temporarily disabled during testing. Garmin said electrocardiogram (ECG) recordings are unavailable in this version, while diving and aviation features are also turned off.

According to the company’s changelog, the update resolves multiple software issues affecting smartwatch functionality. One fix addresses a problem where the body weight tracking glance was not displaying correctly. Garmin also said sports results should now appear properly across supported models.
Another issue affecting Solar versions of the devices has also been corrected. Previously, some units reportedly displayed only a black screen during weight training activities. The new beta update resolves this bug.
Garmin also fixed a problem where notifications related to achievable activity goals could stop appearing after the first alert. In addition, the update eliminates a reported crash that could occur during high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workouts.

Beyond bug fixes, Garmin said the update includes performance improvements for the Course Planner feature, which is used for planning routes and workouts.
Because the software is part of a beta program and may still contain unresolved issues, Garmin advises users to consider carefully before installing the update. The company has not yet announced when these fixes will be included in a stable release.
