Apple has set March 4 as the date for its first product launch of 2026, billing the presentation as a “Special Apple Experience” rather than using its standard event branding. The showcase is due to begin at 9 a.m. ET (1400 GMT), according to the company’s announcement, with further details about the program yet to be disclosed.
The California-based technology group has remained tight-lipped on specific products, but market speculation points to one of its most extensive early-year hardware updates in recent cycles. The event comes after weeks of industry leaks suggesting changes across multiple device categories, from smartphones to laptops and tablets.

Among the anticipated announcements is a successor to the iPhone 16e, widely referred to in reports as the iPhone 17e. The device is expected to introduce built-in MagSafe support and run on Apple’s A19 processor, alongside camera and display enhancements. Apple is also seen updating its MacBook Pro models with next-generation M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, while the MacBook Air lineup could shift to the standard M5 processor in both 13-inch and 15-inch configurations.
Tablet updates are also likely, with the entry-level iPad tipped to receive an A18 chip upgrade and the iPad Air expected to move to Apple’s M4 silicon. In addition, reports indicate Apple may debut a second-generation Studio Display featuring a higher refresh rate Mini LED panel and HDR support.

Another closely watched product is a more affordable MacBook, which analysts say could be powered by an A18 Pro chip, marking a departure from Apple’s typical Mac silicon strategy. If unveiled, the device may expand color options beyond those currently offered in the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro ranges. Apple has not commented on the reports and has provided no further guidance on what will be revealed during the March 4 event.
