Samsung Electronics introduced its Galaxy S26 smartphone series, expanding its focus on artificial intelligence and performance enhancements across its flagship lineup. The new range includes the Samsung Galaxy S26, Samsung Galaxy S26+ and Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, which the company described as its third generation of AI-centric mobile devices designed to streamline everyday tasks by operating more functions in the background.

The South Korean technology giant said the Galaxy S26 series integrates upgraded Galaxy AI capabilities aimed at simplifying activities such as managing schedules, searching for information and refining content. “We believe AI should be something people can depend on every day, designed to work consistently for everyone and without the need for expertise,” said TM Roh, Chief Executive Officer and Head of the Device eXperience Division at Samsung Electronics.

A key feature of the Galaxy S26 Ultra is what Samsung called the world’s first built-in Privacy Display for mobile phones, intended to enhance on-screen data protection by limiting viewing angles. The Ultra model is powered by a customized Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform for Galaxy processor, which the company said delivers improvements in CPU, GPU and neural processing performance compared with the previous generation.

Samsung also introduced a redesigned vapor chamber cooling system in the Ultra variant to improve heat dissipation during demanding tasks such as gaming and video recording. The device supports Super Fast Charging 3.0, which the company said can charge the battery to as much as 75% in around 30 minutes.
