Garmin has begun distributing a new stable software update to several of its Instinct series smartwatches, marking the second such release within a week as the company addresses issues tied to a recent major upgrade.
The update, labeled System Software 13.27, is being delivered to the Garmin Instinct E, Garmin Instinct 3 and Garmin Instinct Crossover AMOLED. The rollout follows the release of System Software 13.26, which Garmin issued last week as a significant update containing dozens of new features and bug fixes compared with earlier v12.23 and v12.26 builds.

At the time, Garmin indicated that version 13.26 marked the end of its v13.xx beta development cycle. However, forum posts now confirm the availability of version 13.27, which targets outstanding problems reported after the previous release.
According to Garmin’s update notes, “System Software 13.27” addresses an issue that prevented the Goal Alert feature from displaying correctly. The company also said it has implemented multiple improvements and bug fixes related to Gear Tracking, though it did not provide further technical details.

The update is being delivered over the air (OTA) to eligible devices. Garmin estimates that roughly half of supported smartwatches have so far received a notification prompting them to download and install the new software.
