Philips has introduced the 27M2N6801M gaming monitor under its Evnia 6000 series in China, combining high-resolution 4K visuals with a high-refresh-rate 1080p mode in a single display aimed at both gamers and creators.
The 27-inch IPS monitor offers dual-mode support, featuring native 160Hz at 4K (3840 x 2160) resolution and an optional 1080p mode capable of reaching 320Hz. Philips states that the display is equipped with Adaptive Sync, Smart MBR, and a motion picture response time of 0.5ms, features suited for fast-paced titles such as Valorant and CS2.
“Dual-mode monitors are slowly becoming the sweet spot for users who need both high resolution and fast refresh rates without constantly juggling between two screens,” Philips noted in the original announcement.
The monitor is DisplayHDR 1400-certified and uses a 9216 Mini LED array distributed across 2304 local dimming zones. It supports 10-bit color depth (8-bit + FRC) and delivers 99.9% sRGB, 98% DCI-P3, and 96.4% Adobe RGB coverage with Quantum Dot color rendering. Peak brightness is listed at 1650 nits.
Physically, the 27M2N6801M includes Philips’ white SmartErgoBase stand with height, tilt, swivel, and pivot support. Additional features include a headphone hook and cable management system. Connectivity options span HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, USB-C, USB-B upstream, two USB-A ports, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
While currently limited to the Chinese market, Philips has not yet confirmed if the 27M2N6801M will launch internationally.
