Retroid has released a new version of its Pocket Classic 6 handheld gaming device in a color scheme inspired by the SEGA Genesis console. Named the Classic 6 SG, the model features an all-black finish accented by light gray XYZ buttons and a blue Start button.
“If you have always wanted the Retroid Pocket Classic in a timeless but classy black color, your dream has come true,” the company said in its announcement.
The Classic 6 SG retains the same specifications as other Pocket Classic 6 models, including a 3.92-inch AMOLED display with a 1240 x 1080 resolution, Snapdragon G1 Gen 2 processor, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. Additional features include a MicroSD card slot, built-in cooling fan, 5,000mAh battery with 27W fast charging, Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.1.
Priced at $129, the device does not have a lower-cost configuration, unlike other handhelds in Retroid’s lineup. The company confirmed the new color variant is available only through its official website and not via third-party retailers such as Amazon.
Other than its distinctive SEGA-inspired paint job, the Pocket Classic 6 SG remains unchanged in functionality, maintaining the same six-button layout as the standard model.
