French textile recycling startup Syntetica has raised $30 million in a Series A funding round to commercialize its proprietary technology for producing virgin-quality recycled nylon from post-consumer textile waste. The round was led by Ecotechnologies 2 and included participation from Lululemon, MAS Holdings, Bpifrance, the European Innovation Council, and other investors. Funding to Support First Commercial Plant Syntetica said the funding will finance construction of its first commercial-scale recycling facility in France, which is expected to process hundreds of tonnes of post-consumer textile waste each year.
