Tesla has started building its first full V4 Supercharger station in Campbell, California, marking a step toward faster charging speeds and expanded capacity for its network.
The station, located at Kirkwood Plaza on West Campbell Avenue, will include 16 V4 charging posts and, for the first time, the company’s newly designed V4 cabinets.
“This location will also feature V4 cabinets for the very first time,” said @MarcoRPi1, a well-known Supercharger enthusiast on X, who posted aerial and street-view images of the site.

Tesla introduced V4 charging posts in 2023, but they had been powered by older V3 cabinets, limiting output to 250 kW and later 325 kW for compatible vehicles. With the addition of the V4 cabinets, Tesla expects charging speeds of up to 500 kW for cars and as much as 1.2 MW for the Tesla Semi truck.
The cabinets, unveiled in late 2024, are smaller in size, more efficient and easier to install, according to the company.
Tesla had previously signaled that the first V4 Supercharger site would open in the third quarter of 2025.
