Pocketpair, the studio behind survival game Palworld, has announced a spin-off titled Palworld: Palfarm. The upcoming title shifts away from the combat-heavy premise that earned the original game the nickname “Pokémon with guns,” replacing firearms with farming tools.
Palfarm blends farming simulation and role-playing elements, offering players a chance to plant, water, harvest and sell crops while building relationships with non-playable characters such as a florist or a blacksmith. “Palworld: Palfarm is a farming simulation that offers similar gameplay to Stardew Valley,” the developer said in its announcement.
The game introduces multiplayer functionality, enabling players to manage farms together and explore the wider game world. Players can also collect “Pals,” animal-like companions with unique abilities that assist in daily farm work. Some Pals are hostile and may attack the farm, requiring players to defend their land through a combat system that retains elements of the original Palworld.
Seasonal changes, a black market for rare items, and the ability to ride or fly on certain Pals are among the features confirmed for the spin-off. The title also uses 3D graphics, maintaining continuity with its predecessor while adopting a more pastoral theme.
Pocketpair has not disclosed pricing or a release date for Palworld: Palfarm. The game is available to wishlist on Steam, where its system requirements list 40GB of storage space, 16GB of RAM, an Intel Core i5-3570K processor and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 graphics card.
