Samsung has reportedly suspended the rollout of its latest One UI 8 update for Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, and Galaxy S22 Ultra devices just days after launch. The update, based on Android 16, was initially released to users in Europe and India, bringing stability enhancements, refreshed apps, and the latest security patch.

A post shared by user @Koram_Akhilesh on X indicated that the One UI 8 build was no longer available for download, suggesting Samsung discovered a bug or instability issue. The company has not released an official statement on the matter, though some users reported faster battery drain after installing the update. “The latest One UI 8 build is no longer available for the Galaxy S22 series,” the user’s post stated.

It is common for smartphone manufacturers to pause software rollouts when early issues are detected. Samsung is expected to resume distribution after identifying and resolving the problem. Users who have already updated their devices can continue using them normally, while those who missed the initial rollout are advised to wait for the fixed version.

One UI 8 introduces several interface and performance improvements for the Galaxy S22 series, including updates to multitasking tools, reminders, camera functionality, and notifications. However, it does not yet include newer AI-based features such as “Now Brief.”

The temporary halt highlights the challenges of delivering large-scale software updates across global markets. Samsung’s prompt response suggests a focus on maintaining stability and reliability before continuing the wider release.
