Dutch bicycle manufacturer Gazelle has introduced the Easyflow C8, an electric bike built for comfort, safety, and ease of use in urban environments. The model’s low-step frame allows riders to mount and dismount with both feet on the ground, making it suitable for commuters who frequently stop in city traffic.
The Easyflow C8 features an eight-speed Shimano Nexus hub gear with automatic shifting, reducing the need for manual gear changes. “This frame design serves a specific purpose: It allows riders to mount and dismount easily with both feet on the ground, ensuring greater safety and comfort,” Gazelle said in its product description.
Powered by a Shimano EP5 mid-drive motor delivering up to 50 Nm of torque, the e-bike targets city riders rather than those seeking high-performance output. The removable external battery is available in three capacities — 418 Wh, 504 Wh, and 630 Wh — with the largest version offering a range of up to 145 km (90 miles) in Eco mode, according to company specifications.
Additional features include a Shimano SC-EN600 colour display, Tektro hydraulic disc brakes, and Schwalbe Big Ben Plus tyres. Built-in lighting and a rear rack come standard, though the model omits suspension to maintain simplicity and reduce weight.
The Gazelle Easyflow C8 is priced from €3,599 (approximately $4,196) in Europe. For U.S. customers, the company offers the Easyflow C7, a slightly lower-spec version sharing the same comfort-focused frame, starting at $3,999.
