Suunto has released two new diving-focused wearables worldwide, introducing the Nautic and Nautic S as additions to its expanding underwater equipment portfolio. Although launched together, the two models differ significantly in purpose and design, with the Nautic functioning as a traditional dive computer and the Nautic S taking the form of a compact smartwatch-style device. As the original article described, the Nautic is “a dive computer that looks like an oversized smartwatch,” reflecting its larger build and feature set.

The Nautic features a 3.26-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 720 x 382 pixels, housed in a 101 x 60 x 23.7 mm frame weighing up to 232 g with the elastic textile strap. It offers 200 metres of water resistance and delivers between 80 and 190 hours of battery life depending on dive conditions. The device includes GPS connectivity, 32 GB of storage for offline maps and a digital compass, positioning it as Suunto’s most fully equipped dive computer to date.

The smaller Nautic S carries forward many of the same navigation capabilities, including GPS and offline maps, but with scaled-down durability and endurance. Its 1.43-inch AMOLED display outputs at 466 x 466 pixels, while water resistance is rated to 100 metres. Battery life drops to 40–60 hours underwater, and unlike typical smartwatches, it does not include features such as a heart-rate sensor, despite its smartwatch-like design.

Suunto has positioned the Nautic S as a more affordable option, pricing it at US$499. The standard Nautic is listed at US$725 with an elastic textile strap, with a higher US$999 variant available that includes a bungee cord and a Tank Pod. The company highlights that the Nautic S is US$200 cheaper than the bungee-equipped Nautic and US$400 below the Suunto Ocean model released last year.

Both devices reinforce Suunto’s move toward advanced, feature-rich diving wearables amid increasing competition in the segment. With AMOLED displays, offline mapping, and long battery performance, the Nautic line aims to serve recreational divers and professionals seeking more integrated navigation tools. Additional specifications and configuration options are available through Suunto’s website.
