Lenovo has received top scores for climate change and water security in the latest 2025 ratings from environmental disclosure group CDP, marking the first time the company has achieved an A rating in both categories in the same year, the technology firm said.
The A score is the highest rating awarded by CDP, an independent global system used by investors and companies to assess environmental transparency. Lenovo said the result places it among the top 4% of companies assessed by CDP worldwide, reflecting progress in both climate reporting and water management.

“With the recent announcement from CDP of their 2025 ratings, Lenovo has once again been recognized as a global leader in transparent reporting for sustainability,” the company said in its press release, adding that it had improved its water score to an A alongside its climate rating.
Lenovo said its sustainability strategy is aligned with the Science Based Targets initiative’s Net-Zero Standard, with emissions reduction goals for 2030 currently on track and a longer-term aim of reaching net-zero emissions by 2050. The company also highlighted measures to improve water stewardship, including tracking water use across its operations and suppliers and implementing a Water Resiliency Policy.
