Decathlon has launched the Rockrider E-EXPL 100 LTD electric all-terrain bicycle in Europe, starting with availability in France, adding a new entry-level model to its Rockrider E-EXPL range.
The seven-speed e-bike is designed for both road and trail use and features a 36-volt brushless rear-wheel motor delivering up to 316 watts of peak power and 43 newton metres of torque. The motor assists riders at speeds of up to 25 km per hour (16 mph) and offers three assistance modes, which can also be switched off.

Power is supplied by a 499 watt-hour lithium-ion battery that Decathlon says can provide up to 100 km (62 miles) of range in Eco mode, or around 50 km (31 miles) in Boost mode. “A full recharge of the battery takes around seven hours,” the company said, adding that the battery is designed to maintain its range after 500 charge cycles.
The Rockrider E-EXPL 100 LTD is equipped with a Zoom front suspension fork with 100 mm of travel, a Microshift RD-M25L X7 rear derailleur, hydraulic disc brakes and 29-inch Kenda Booster tyres. A handlebar-mounted LED control unit displays speed, assistance mode and battery level and includes a USB-C port for charging a smartphone.
