Samsung has officially teased the launch of the Galaxy M47 5G in India, offering the first look at its design while a new Geekbench listing has revealed key hardware details ahead of its debut.
The upcoming smartphone will join Samsung’s Galaxy M lineup, which focuses on delivering mid-range features at competitive price points.
Triple-Camera Design Revealed
In an official teaser released by Samsung India, the Galaxy M47 5G is shown in a red color option featuring a triple rear camera system.
The cameras are housed within a pill-shaped vertical camera module on the back panel, continuing Samsung’s recent design language seen across several Galaxy A and M series devices.
Samsung has confirmed that the smartphone is “coming soon” to the Indian market, although the company has not yet announced an official launch date or detailed specifications.
Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 Powers the Device
Ahead of the launch, a Geekbench benchmark listing has surfaced for a Samsung smartphone carrying model number SM-M476B, which is widely believed to be the Galaxy M47 5G.
According to the listing, the device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor paired with 8GB of RAM.
The chipset is the same platform Samsung previously used in the Galaxy A36 5G and is designed to deliver balanced performance and power efficiency for mid-range smartphones.
Benchmark results show the device achieving approximately 1,000 points in Geekbench’s single-core test and 3,036 points in the multi-core benchmark.
Successor to the Galaxy M36 5G
The Galaxy M47 5G will succeed the Galaxy M36 5G, which launched in June 2025.
The previous model featured a 6.7-inch display and Samsung’s Exynos 1380 processor, making the shift to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon platform one of the most notable changes in the upcoming generation.
While Samsung has not yet confirmed display specifications, battery capacity, charging speeds or camera details, the device is expected to compete in India’s highly competitive mid-range 5G smartphone segment.
Launch Expected Soon
With Samsung already beginning its teaser campaign, the Galaxy M47 5G is expected to be unveiled in the coming weeks.
Additional specifications, pricing details and availability information are likely to be announced closer to launch.
The device will compete against offerings from brands such as Xiaomi, Realme, Vivo, Oppo and Motorola in India’s growing mid-range smartphone market.
For now, the confirmed details suggest Samsung is positioning the Galaxy M47 5G as a performance-focused successor that combines a modern design with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 6-series platform.
