Phase One announced the presence of the XT-Rodenstock HR Digaron-W 40mm f/4 Tilt lens. This lens is prepared for the most compact medium format camera system, the Phase One XT.
Currently, the Phase One XT camera system is supported with five lens options. One of them is the XT-Rodenstock HR Digaron-W 90mm F5.6 which was launched in 2020. With the launch of the XT-Rodenstock HR Digaron-W 40mm f/4 Tilt, there are a total of six lenses for the Phase One XT camera system.
According to Phase One, the XT-Rodenstock HR Digaron-W 40mm f/4 Tilt is designed for landscape photographers. This lens is claimed to be able to produce very sharp landscape photos. The scope is also quite wide at about 94 degrees.
The secret, this unique lens adopts a simple tilt design. So, photographers are allowed to adjust the focal distance, determine the DoF (Depth Of Field), and sharpness in the entire image area.
The XT-Rodenstock HR Digaron-W 40mm f/4 Tilt offers apertures from F/4 to F/22. The lens diameter is 90mm and is compatible with 67mm filters. Like other XT-Rodenstock lenses, the weight of this camera is quite heavy. Despite its compact dimensions, it weighs 995 grams.
The XT-Rodenstock HR Digaron-W 40mm f/4 Tilt is scheduled to be available in September 2022. The price of the XT-Rodenstock HR Digaron-W 40mm f/4 Tilt is US$11,990.
