YouTube has re-opened access to presenting shows from the Disney channel after previously removing the content due to distribution agreement issues.

The return of Disney content to the YouTube service has apparently been resolved by both parties through an agreement.

“We have reached an agreement with Disney and have restored access to content such as ESPN and FX content,” YouTube tweeted.

Actually the distribution problem has been revealed by the Google subsidiary since a few weeks ago. YouTube says it only wants to renew its partnership with Disney if the company provides fair terms.

This coincided with the announcement of a subscription price cut which previously ranged from US$64.99 to US$49.99.

However, with the return of the partnership between Disney and YouTube, the subscription price has risen to US$64.99.

However, customers who have previously subscribed for a price of US$49.99 can still access the service and will then be charged a tariff of US$64.99.

“We appreciate Google’s collaboration to achieve fair terms that are consistent with the marketplace,” Disney said in response to news of the partnership with Google re-establishing itself.

YouTube in early December 2021 also struck a multi-year agreement with streaming platform Roku Inc to distribute YouTube’s flagship TV app and service, ending months of rivalry over rumors of anti-competitive behavior.
