Timekettle has introduced its W4 AI Interpreter Earbuds at IFA 2025, placing translation at the core of its latest wearable technology. The device is designed to help users communicate across languages in real time, with applications ranging from travel to professional meetings.
The company said the earbuds provide “a translation accuracy of 98%, with a delay of just 0.2 seconds,” making conversations more fluid. Each speaker wears a pair of earbuds, which record speech and instantly deliver the translation to the other person.
Powered by Babel OS 2.0, the earbuds use AI prediction and user-defined lexicons to refine output, while correcting common issues such as homophones. Bone conduction technology ensures accuracy even in noisy environments.
Timekettle said the W4 supports 42 languages and 95 accents, enabling communication with more than 95% of the world’s population. In addition to speech, the earbuds can translate text from images, such as menus and signs.
A voice clone function is planned for 2026, allowing translations to mimic the speaker’s own voice for a more natural experience. Battery life is rated for up to four hours of continuous translation, with the earbuds priced at $349 through the company’s website.
