Amazon said it plans to expand the capabilities of its Alexa+ digital assistant by adding new integrations with Expedia, Yelp, Angi and Square, a move aimed at allowing users to book travel, arrange home services and manage personal appointments through voice interactions starting in 2026.
The company said the additions build on growing customer engagement with service providers already connected to Alexa+, such as Thumbtack and Vagaro. Amazon positions the update as part of a broader shift toward making Alexa+ more task-oriented, moving beyond information queries to handling everyday activities on behalf of users.

Under the planned Expedia integration, Alexa+ will be able to search, compare, book and manage hotel and vacation rental reservations worldwide. Users will be able to refine results by sharing preferences such as price range, location and room type, with bookings completed directly through the assistant.
Amazon said partnerships with Angi and Yelp will expand access to home services by enabling users to find local professionals, review options and request quotes for projects including plumbing, electrical work, cleaning, landscaping and repairs. The integrations are intended to reduce the steps involved in finding and booking qualified service providers.

The Square integration will focus on beauty and wellness services, allowing Alexa+ users to discover local salons, spas and barbershops, view availability and manage appointments through voice commands. Amazon said the combined updates reflect its goal of positioning Alexa+ as a more comprehensive tool for discovering and booking services across travel, home maintenance and personal care.
