E-bike component maker Ananda has announced a new mid-drive motor designed to deliver high power and fast response for demanding riding conditions, expanding its portfolio beyond the better-known brands that dominate the sector.
The new M7600 motor is rated at a peak output of 850 watts when paired with a 36-volt system, while its continuous rated output is capped at 250 watts in line with regulatory limits in many markets. Ananda has not yet disclosed performance figures for a 48-volt version. The company said the peak power is intended for short bursts, such as starting from a standstill or climbing steep hills.

With a maximum torque rating of 120 newton metres, the M7600 ranks among the most powerful mid-drive motors currently available on paper. Ananda positions the motor for use on trails and steep terrain, adding that its cooling system has been specifically designed for e-mountain bikes.
The motor integrates both pedal cadence and torque sensors, enabling assistance to be adjusted based on the rider’s input. According to the company, the system is designed to react “exceptionally quickly and virtually without any noticeable delay,” a feature aimed at improving control on technical sections.

Weighing about 2.8 kg, the M7600 is not among the lightest motors in its class but does support app connectivity for configuration and monitoring. Ananda has not yet announced specific e-bike models that will use the new motor or provided a timeline for commercial availability.
