Ayaneo has released new details about its upcoming Pocket Vert retro handheld, outlining pricing tiers, hardware specifications and a planned increase in retail prices once the device reaches broader availability.
The company said early backers will be able to purchase the Pocket Vert starting at $269 for the base configuration, rising to $369 for the top-tier Lava Red edition. Ayaneo added that retail pricing will be higher, with the base model set at $339 and the highest-end version priced at $439.
The Pocket Vert adopts a Game Boy-style form factor and features a 3.5-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1,600 by 1,440 pixels and a pixel density of 615 pixels per inch. The screen supports a 60-hertz refresh rate and reaches up to 450 nits of brightness, according to the company.
The handheld is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset paired with an Adreno 730 graphics processor. As described in earlier materials, the hardware combination “can easily handle the most demanding retro emulation,” positioning the device toward enthusiasts seeking higher performance in a compact design.
Ayaneo said the Pocket Vert will be offered in multiple memory and storage configurations, with options for 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, alongside microSD expansion. Additional features include an invisible touchpad, a 6,000 mAh battery, active cooling, stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, motion sensors and a fingerprint reader, all housed in a metal body available in black, white and a Lava Red finish.
