Engwe has introduced the Engine Pro 3.0 Boost, a foldable electric bike designed for off-road use, featuring four-inch wide tires and upgraded suspension. The company has yet to confirm an official retail price, though the product page source code lists it at €1,699.
“The Engine Pro 3.0 Boost is a foldable bike designed for off-road use and features not only a suspension fork and a shock absorber, but also four-inch wide tires, which should provide good grip on challenging surfaces,” the company said in its description.
The model weighs 34.7 kilograms and is powered by a hub motor capable of producing 90 Nm of torque. It runs on a removable 720 Wh battery, with a 3.5-inch color display providing ride data. A built-in IoT module adds connectivity features such as a cellular modem, Bluetooth and GPS, making it unusual among foldable e-bikes.
Other specifications include a Shimano seven-speed derailleur, hydraulic disc brakes on both wheels, and integrated lights. The bike also comes equipped with a luggage rack, mudguards and a stand.
While the Shimano Tourney gear system is an entry-level component, the combination of power, wide tires and digital features positions the Engine Pro 3.0 Boost as a performance-oriented option for off-road riders.
