Fujifilm said it will release its X-E5 mirrorless APS-C camera on August 28, 2025, a retro-styled digital model designed with interchangeable lens capability and priced at $1,699.95.
The X-E5 is fitted with a 40.2-megapixel X-Trans sensor that can capture images at up to 20 frames per second and record video in resolutions up to 6.2K.
The camera also features Intelligent Hybrid Autofocus, combining contrast and phase detection for improved precision, and in-body image stabilization rated at up to seven stops at the center of the frame.
The model includes a Film Simulation dial that provides access to Fujifilm’s color profiles inspired by 35mm film stocks such as Velvia, as well as customizable looks.
Users can preview images through a 0.39-inch OLED electronic viewfinder and a 3-inch tilting LCD. The camera supports 16-bit RAW capture and All-Intra/Long-GOP video recording at up to 200 Mbps, with files stored on SDXC cards.
Measuring 124.9 x 72.9 x 39.1 mm and weighing 445 grams with card and battery, the X-E5 will be available in black or silver finishes. An external microphone can be connected via a 3.5mm input jack.
