Garmin has released what appears to be the final beta update in its 25.xx software testing cycle for a range of older premium smartwatches, a move that suggests a broader public release could follow soon.
The beta update, version 25.11, is being rolled out over the air to testers using the Fenix 7, Fenix 7X, Fenix 7S, Epix, Enduro 2, Quatix 7 and MARQ Gen 2 models. The testing cycle began in December 2025.

According to Garmin’s change log, the update enables the electrocardiogram (ECG) feature on eligible devices. ECG functionality is typically disabled during beta testing, indicating that a stable release may be close. The Dive feature, however, remains unavailable in this version.
The update is expected to introduce several user-facing changes when it reaches a stable release, including the option to enable or disable the auto-lap feature in the Golf activity and a refreshed progress bar design in the Audiobooks list. It also includes a wide range of bug fixes addressing issues related to skin temperature tracking, sleep mode menus, morning reports, workout data and system stability.

Garmin noted that not all models are included in the current beta. The Fenix 7 Pro, Tactix 7 and MARQ Aviator Gen 2 are excluded from the testing programme. In a recent forum post, a Garmin representative said that software for the Fenix 7 Pro would arrive later, stating that “a version of the software for this wearable will be released at a later date.”
Beta version 25.11 is now available to enrolled testers, with a full public rollout expected once testing concludes.
