Garmin has rolled out its latest beta software update, version 15.10, extending the Health Status feature to more smartwatch users. The update also addresses issues related to smart notifications and the Evening Report, while simplifying the process of powering down the vivoactive 6 smartwatch.
The update follows previous beta releases, including version 15.05, which added gesture support and made Morning and Evening Reports accessible from the notification center. Subsequent updates, versions 15.08 and 15.10, share an identical change log introducing a new on-watch glance designed to help users track changes in their health data. “While not named in the release notes, this is the new Health Status feature,” Garmin noted in its forum post, highlighting its earlier debut on the Venu 4 smartwatch.
Alongside the new feature, Garmin has included a series of bug fixes. Users can now shut down their vivoactive 6 without entering a passcode, and errors affecting notification numbers and Evening Report timestamps have been corrected. The company also addressed a problem that caused the smartwatch to reboot after multiple notifications were received.
Beta version 15.08 previously added support for GCM Translations version 3.00. Users enrolled in Garmin’s beta program can install version 15.10 by navigating to Main Menu > Settings > System > Software Update > Check For Updates. A timeline for when the update will be released as a stable version remains unspecified.
