Garmin has released a new beta software update for its Forerunner 570 and Forerunner 970 smartwatches, rolling out version 15.33 only days after publishing the previous beta, the company said in an online update.
The latest release continues Garmin’s recent rapid update cycle for the two wearables. As with the earlier version 15.31, the new software carries a brief change log. Garmin says it delivers “various bug fixes and improvements,” without specifying which issues have been addressed. The original article noted: “the beta version 15.33 release has a short change log, noting that it brings ‘various bug fixes and improvements’.”

User reports suggest at least one known issue may be targeted. A Forerunner 970 owner wrote on Garmin’s official forum that the device’s backlight continued to “act erratically” after beta version 15.30. It is unclear whether the latest update resolves this behaviour, as Garmin has not confirmed any specific fixes.
Members of the Garmin beta programme can download version 15.33 through their device menus by navigating to Settings and checking for updates. The beta is already available to all Forerunner 570 and Forerunner 970 users.
