Garmin, a leading manufacturer of smartwatches, has unveiled a new beta update, Version 16.16, for its current-generation flagship smartwatches. This update brings a dozen refinements to eligible models, although notably excluding ‘Pro’ SKUs.
The latest beta update, Version 16.16, is now available for the Fenix 7 series, along with other compatible models such as Epix 2, Enduro 2, MARQ Gen 2, Quatix 7, and Tactix 7.
However, it is important to note that users must be enrolled in the Garmin Beta Program to access this update. Version 16.16 replaces the previous Version 16.13, which was distributed by the company in late January, making it the sole beta update released this month for Garmin’s flagship smartwatches.
Beta Version 16.16 introduces several changes and refinements compared to its predecessor. Notable updates include fixes for UI issues, improvements in activity tracking such as jump rope reps and swimming activities, and enhancements to device stability. Additionally, new GPS and Sensor Hub firmwares have been introduced in this update.
It is worth mentioning that Garmin is rolling out Beta Version 16.16 exclusively to non-Pro SKUs, excluding models like Epix 2 and Fenix 7 Pro.
Users interested in downloading the update must initiate the process manually by accessing the software update section within the device settings.
