Garmin has released a stable software update, version 5.06, for its Lily 2 Active smartwatch. The new rollout focuses on improving reliability by addressing several bugs affecting user functionality, including those related to device passcodes and workout tracking.
The update follows the 5.05 release from earlier this year, which resolved issues with step progress tracking, stress alerts, and weather data display. According to Garmin’s changelog, version 5.06 corrects four key problems, one involving the passcode reset process. Previously, users could be locked out of their devices after multiple failed password attempts.
The company also fixed an error within the strength activity mode where workout metrics were not displaying correctly. Additionally, calendar synchronization issues have been resolved, though Garmin did not specify the exact causes. The update also ensures compliance with Brazil’s ANATEL e-label requirements for telecommunications devices.
“This release is now available for all users of the Lily 2 Active smartwatch,” Garmin said in a recent post on its community forum. The update can be installed through Garmin Express or Garmin Connect Mobile.
The Lily 2 Active, launched in 2024, is priced at $299.99 on Amazon and remains one of Garmin’s most compact fitness-focused wearables designed for everyday use.
