GoPro has unveiled its new Fluid Pro AI gimbal, now available for preorder at $229.99 through the company’s website. The device, which integrates artificial intelligence subject tracking, is designed to enhance stability and framing for users of GoPro cameras, smartphones, and compact point-and-shoot models.
According to the company’s announcement, the Fluid Pro AI features a robust three-axis stabilization system with interchangeable mounts supporting devices weighing up to 400 grams. The gimbal’s AI-powered tracker can lock onto faces or bodies to maintain consistent framing, while an integrated fill light offers improved illumination for both day and night shooting.
GoPro said the gimbal also provides up to 18 hours of battery life, with the added ability to function as a power bank for charging external devices during use.
“Fluid Pro AI is an AI Subject Tracking gimbal designed for GoPro cameras, smartphones and compact point-and-shoot cameras,” the company stated in its release, highlighting its intention to serve the needs of multi-device creators seeking flexibility in mobile and action content production.
The new accessory is expected to reach retail shelves in early November.
GoPro, best known for its HERO line of action cameras, has continued to expand its hardware ecosystem with accessories and software aimed at streamlining content creation. The company was recently recognized by Newsweek as one of the World’s Most Trustworthy Companies for the second consecutive year, and by U.S. News & World Report as one of the best places to work.
