Home Assistant has released version 2025.10 of its open-source smart home software, the tenth update this year. The release follows September’s upgrade, which introduced a new automations sidebar and additional tile functions.
The latest version adds refinements to the automations editor, including resizable sidebars, paste shortcuts, undo and redo options, and a restructured overflow menu. These changes are intended to make the automation process faster and more user-friendly.
Voice assistant features have also been expanded, with support for two wake words and multiple assistants in a single setup. Dashboards now adapt more intelligently, suggesting entities based on user behavior and time of day. The AI Task tool has gained image generation capabilities, enabling creative uses such as personalized smart doorbell alerts.
Additional integrations include Libre Hardware Monitor, Droplet water usage tracking, and GE’s Cync smart lighting products. Philips Hue support has also been extended to MotionAware sensors through the new Hue Bridge Pro.
