HoYoverse, the studio behind Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, has announced a closed beta for its upcoming life simulation game Petit Planet, signaling rapid progress in the title’s development. The test phase will begin on November 7, 2025, and players can register through the official website.
Described as a life simulator centered on exploration and creativity, Petit Planet allows players to develop their own worlds through activities such as fishing, mining, farming, and construction. The game also includes social interaction mechanics, enabling players to form relationships with neighbors, uncover their stories, and expand their community.
According to HoYoverse, Petit Planet invites players “to embark on adventures, explore nearby planets, and build meaningful connections” within its shared virtual environment. The studio said that the multiplayer mode will feature a dedicated area for cooperative play, allowing users to experience the world together.
The closed beta aims to test the game’s core systems before its broader release. While HoYoverse did not specify how long the test will run, the company encouraged interested players to sign up early.
As with many large-scale online betas, the developer cautioned that technical issues may occur during the test period, including potential server instability and minor bugs. Despite this, HoYoverse said the beta “marks an important step” toward refining gameplay ahead of launch.
