Aito, an electric vehicle brand backed by Chinese tech giant Huawei, announced its global expansion at the IAA Mobility 2025 exhibition in Munich, unveiling three models for international markets including its flagship SUV.
The brand, created through a partnership between Huawei and state-owned automaker Seres, showcased the Aito 9, Aito 7 and Aito 5 at the event. These models will initially be offered in select Middle Eastern markets, with a mix of battery-electric and extended-range powertrains.
Seres Auto president Leon He said the company is prepared to deliver “an unparalleled ‘new luxury’ smart mobility experience to customers around the world,” highlighting Aito’s ambition to position itself as a premium EV brand.
The Aito 9, comparable to the M9 sold in China, will be available as both a battery-electric vehicle with a 100kWh pack and a dual-motor output of 390kW, and as an extended-range version combining a 52kWh battery with a 1.5-liter engine. The Aito 7 offers up to 330kW of power, while the Aito 5, a smaller SUV, provides options ranging from a 200kW all-electric system with an 83kWh CATL LFP battery to a 365kW extended-range version.
Interior features across the lineup include multiple display screens, with the Aito 9 offering a 12.3-inch instrument panel, a 15.6-inch central console display and a 16-inch passenger-side monitor. The Aito 7 retains dual screens but excludes the additional passenger display, while the Aito 5 is equipped with a central console screen.
Aito said the international versions will maintain a “diverse range” of energy options, reflecting the company’s strategy to appeal to different consumer needs. The vehicles will be on display in Munich until Sept. 12.
