IBM said it has introduced IBM Enterprise Advantage, a new asset-based consulting service designed to help organisations build, govern and operate their own internal artificial intelligence platforms at scale.
The company said the service combines AI tools with consulting expertise, allowing clients to redesign workflows, integrate AI into existing systems and deploy agent-based applications without changing their current cloud providers, AI models or core infrastructure. IBM said the offering supports major cloud environments including Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure and IBM watsonx, as well as both open- and closed-source models.

Enterprise Advantage is built on capabilities developed through IBM Consulting Advantage, the company’s internal AI-powered delivery platform. IBM said this platform has already been used in more than 150 client engagements and has helped improve consultant productivity, experience that it is now extending to enterprise customers.
IBM said clients can use the service to navigate the growing AI marketplace and accelerate the deployment of customised AI platforms. As examples, the company cited Pearson, which is using the service to develop an AI-powered platform that combines human expertise with AI assistants, and a manufacturing client that has applied Enterprise Advantage to implement a platform-first generative AI strategy.

The company said the new service is intended to help organisations move beyond early-stage AI experimentation and achieve broader adoption across the enterprise, while continuing to build on their existing technology investments.
