iQoo Reportedly Developing Compact Gaming Tablet With Next-Generation Snapdragon Chip

The rumored "mini" gaming tablet is expected to debut in the second half of 2026 with Qualcomm's upcoming flagship processor, targeting the growing market for compact high-performance tablets.

iQoo is reportedly expanding its tablet lineup with a new gaming-focused model that emphasizes portability without sacrificing flagship performance. According to a recent leak, the company is developing a compact tablet equipped with Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon flagship chipset, signaling its intention to compete in the fast-growing premium gaming tablet segment.

Although the device’s official name has not been revealed, the leak describes it as a “mini” gaming tablet, suggesting a significantly smaller design than the company’s current flagship offering.

    Compact Design Targets Mobile Gamers

The report comes just months after iQoo introduced the iQoo Pad 6 Pro, a flagship Android tablet featuring a 13.2-inch display and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. While that device focuses on productivity and immersive entertainment, the rumored compact model appears aimed at users looking for greater portability.

Tipster Digital Chat Station, posting on Weibo, claims the new tablet will feature a smaller display, although exact dimensions have not yet been disclosed. If accurate, it would place the device in direct competition with compact gaming tablets such as Lenovo’s Legion Tab series, which has gained popularity among gamers for balancing handheld comfort with high-end performance.

The smaller form factor could appeal to players who prefer lightweight devices for extended gaming sessions or those looking for a more travel-friendly alternative to larger tablets.

    Next-Generation Snapdragon Expected

One of the most notable claims is that the tablet will be powered by Qualcomm’s next-generation flagship mobile processor.

Qualcomm is widely expected to introduce the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 family later this year, bringing improvements in CPU efficiency, graphics performance, and on-device artificial intelligence capabilities. Early reports suggest the lineup will include both a standard version and a higher-performance Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro model.

Both chips are rumored to use Qualcomm’s latest Oryon CPU architecture with a 2+3+3 core configuration built on an advanced 4nm manufacturing process.

It remains unclear which version iQoo intends to adopt, but either chipset would position the tablet among the highest-performing Android gaming devices on the market.

    Expanding iQoo’s Gaming Ecosystem

The rumored tablet would further strengthen iQoo’s presence in the gaming hardware segment, complementing its portfolio of gaming-focused smartphones known for flagship processors, high-refresh-rate displays, and advanced cooling systems.

A compact gaming tablet could also provide users with a larger display for competitive gaming while remaining considerably more portable than traditional tablets designed primarily for media consumption or productivity.

As Android game optimization and cloud gaming services continue to improve, manufacturers are increasingly exploring devices that bridge the gap between smartphones and larger tablets.

Launch Could Coincide With iQoo 16 Series

According to the leak, the new gaming tablet is expected to debut during the second half of 2026, potentially alongside the launch of the upcoming iQoo 16 smartphone series.

Launching both products together would allow iQoo to showcase Qualcomm’s newest flagship platform across multiple device categories while strengthening its ecosystem for gaming enthusiasts.

The company has not officially confirmed the existence of the tablet, and details regarding its display technology, battery capacity, charging capabilities, camera system, and memory configurations remain unknown.

Additional leaks are expected to emerge in the coming months as iQoo prepares its next generation of flagship hardware. If the reported specifications prove accurate, the compact gaming tablet could become one of the company’s most competitive products in the premium Android gaming market, offering flagship-level performance in a highly portable design.
