Kia is set to showcase its most extensive electric vehicle lineup at IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich, using the event to highlight the European debut of the EV5 and underline its ambitions in the region’s expanding EV sector.
The open-air exhibition, running from Sept. 9 to 14, will feature the brand’s growing portfolio, including the Concept EV2, EV3, EV4, EV5, the latest EV6 GT, EV9 GT and PV5 light commercial vehicle. Test drives will be available for several models, signaling the automaker’s intent to engage directly with European consumers.
The EV5, positioned as a family-focused SUV, is expected to be the centerpiece of Kia’s display. The model is built on the E-GMP platform and offers up to 530 km of range, 30-minute rapid charging, and 1,200 kg towing capacity. Its interior emphasizes flexibility, with second-row seats that fold flat, rear seat-back tables and a panoramic wide display designed to create a lounge-like atmosphere.
The automaker will also present the Concept EV2, aimed at urban drivers, and the EV4, which broadens choice in the C-segment with up to 625 km of driving range and 31-minute fast charging. Performance is represented by the EV6 GT, capable of accelerating from 0–100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, and the EV9 GT, which delivers 508 PS while maintaining a range of up to 510 km.
Kia’s PV5, a modular purpose-built vehicle adaptable to multiple uses from passenger transport to commercial applications, will also be displayed. With configurations ranging from five to seven seats and the potential to evolve into up to 16 variants, the PV5 signals Kia’s entry into the light commercial segment.
The automaker’s presentation, organized under the theme “Windows of Inspiration,” will feature a distinctive open-air booth designed to blend into Munich’s cityscape. The installation aims to showcase both Kia’s design direction and its commitment to sustainable mobility in Europe.
