Garmin has released Beta Version 17.23 for several of its premium smartwatch models, including the Enduro 3, Fenix 8 series, and Tactix 8 line, as part of its ongoing v17.xx beta cycle. The over-the-air update replaces last week’s Beta Version 17.22 and delivers targeted fixes rather than new features.
According to Garmin, the latest build addresses multiple software issues, such as incorrect satellite settings displayed on the Activity Stage Page and a glitch that caused Morning Report all-day events to appear on the wrong date. “Beta Version 17.23 delivers targeted refinements aimed at resolving bugs that were present in earlier v17.xx firmware,” the company stated.
Other improvements include resolving errors in the Emoji Zhuyin, Thai, and Japanese keyboards, fixing unit and spacing updates within Project Waypoint, and ensuring button shortcuts for exiting the Evening Report function correctly.
The update is now available to 100% of eligible devices enrolled in Garmin’s Beta Program. Users can manually trigger the download by navigating to Main Menu > System > Software Update and selecting ‘Check for Updates.’
Beta 17.23 is the tenth release in the current cycle, suggesting that Garmin may be nearing a stable v17.xx rollout. However, features such as ECG, Dive, and Aviation remain disabled in this build, indicating further beta releases are likely before final deployment.
