Several new images of Lenovo’s upcoming Legion Go 2 handheld gaming PC have surfaced ahead of its expected launch at IFA 2025, revealing further design changes and technical details. The device, first shown at CES 2025 in January, will succeed the original Legion Go released in late 2023.

According to the leak, the Legion Go 2 will feature an 8.8-inch OLED display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 1200p resolution, 144Hz variable refresh rate, and 97% DCI-P3 color coverage. The screen also meets VESA’s DisplayHDR True Black 1000 standard and supports 10-point touch with 500 nits of brightness. “The OLED screen, which also has 10-point touch support and 500 nits of brightness, meets VESA’s DisplayHDR True Black 1000 standard and has a 144Hz variable refresh rate,” the leak noted.

The handheld will ship with a 74Wh dual-cell battery and a 65W AC adapter, while still allowing higher power draw from compatible third-party chargers. Lenovo has also repositioned the MicroSD slot and audio jack to the bottom of the device, alongside larger airflow vents and an upgraded cooling fan powered by its Legion Coldfront technology.

A major update comes in the redesigned Truestrike Controllers, which are confirmed to be backward compatible with the first-generation Legion Go. One leaked image suggests the controllers may include a USB-C port, potentially allowing them to be charged independently.

Other listed features include a fingerprint scanner integrated into the power button, support for up to 2TB MicroSD storage, dual USB 4.0 Type-C ports, and processor options between the Ryzen Z2 and Ryzen Z2 Extreme. Lenovo is also preparing accessories, including a padded carry bag shown in the leaks, though it is not confirmed whether this will be bundled with the device.
