Luxury electronics customiser Caviar has entered the humanoid robot market with the launch of Aladdin, a redesigned version of Unitree’s G1 robot that focuses on premium materials and bespoke aesthetics rather than new technical capabilities.

The Aladdin features a black chassis accented with real gold and gemstones, replacing the industrial grey finish of the original Unitree G1. Caviar said each unit is produced only after a customer places an order, allowing buyers to personalise decorative elements. As described in the original announcement, the robot has “a black chassis decorated with ornaments made of real gold,” highlighting its emphasis on luxury.

Despite the exterior redesign, the robot’s technical specifications remain unchanged. The humanoid stands about 4 feet 4 inches tall, weighs roughly 77 pounds and is powered by a 9,000 mAh battery that provides up to two hours of operation per charge.

For sensing and interaction, the robot uses a combination of a 3D camera and LiDAR scanner, along with four microphones and integrated speakers. It can lift objects weighing up to around 4.4 pounds, while its overall versatility depends largely on software development rather than hardware changes.

The Caviar Aladdin is available only on request, with pricing determined by the level of customisation selected by the buyer. By comparison, the standard Unitree G1 on which it is based is sold publicly at prices starting from $13,500, according to the manufacturer.
