Meta has launched a new artificial intelligence-powered application called Pocket, allowing users to create and share interactive mini-games and digital experiences using text prompts as the company expands its AI creation tools.

Pocket describes itself as a platform for creating and sharing “gizmos”—small interactive applications generated through AI that users can play, customize and publish. The app also includes a discovery feed where users can browse and interact with creations shared by others.

    AI Prompts Power Interactive Experiences

Users can create a new gizmo simply by describing what they want through a text prompt. According to the app description, the experiences can respond to touch, device movement, camera input and audio, while some are capable of using AI reasoning features.

Screenshots published on Google Play indicate the application closely resembles Gizmo, an AI-powered platform that enabled users to build interactive experiences through prompt-based creation. Meta previously hired the Gizmo development team and obtained a non-exclusive license to the underlying technology earlier this year.

Part of Meta’s Expanding AI Strategy

Pocket extends Meta’s broader effort to introduce generative AI tools across its products. The company has already released AI-powered image generation, video creation tools and editing features across several of its applications.

The app was first spotted by software researcher Alessandro Paluzzi, while app intelligence firm Appfigures reported that Pocket became available on the Apple App Store and Google Play on June 29. However, availability remains limited, with Meta indicating that the application is not yet accessible in all regions.

    Early Rollout

Meta has not formally announced the launch, suggesting Pocket remains in the early stages of its public rollout. The original Gizmo application had accumulated about 635,000 downloads across iOS and Android before Meta brought its development team into the company, according to Appfigures.

Pocket represents Meta’s latest effort to make AI-assisted content creation more accessible, combining generative AI with interactive gameplay and social sharing as the company explores new forms of digital entertainment.
