Motorola has opened pre-orders in China for the Moto X70 Air, a thin and lightweight smartphone that will be released internationally as the Motorola Edge 70 in early November. The model, positioned as a mid-range competitor to the iPhone Air, is listed at 2,599 yuan ($364) for the base version with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage on Lenovo’s official online store.
A second configuration with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage is available at 2,899 yuan ($410). Prices for the global version are expected to be higher due to regional tariffs and import costs, with reports indicating a potential range of €700 to €800 in Europe. The company is also planning to include promotional bonuses valued at more than €300 for early buyers.
The Moto X70 Air is equipped with a 6.7-inch pOLED display, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, and a 4,800 mAh battery supporting 68W fast charging. The hardware places the device within the premium mid-range segment, targeting consumers looking for a balance between design, power efficiency, and quick charging performance.
Weighing less than typical flagship models, the Moto X70 Air emphasizes portability while retaining competitive features. Its design and performance are intended to position it as an alternative to other compact premium phones such as the iPhone Air and Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge.
The Motorola Edge 70 is scheduled for a global launch on November 5, 2025, extending the company’s efforts to expand its international smartphone lineup with a focus on sleek form factors and performance-driven features.
