Nvidia has rolled out its latest GeForce Game Ready Driver, version 580.88 WHQL, offering performance optimizations for several major titles and extended support for Windows 10 users ahead of the operating system’s scheduled end-of-life in October 2025.
Released on July 31, the driver includes fine-tuned support for Mafia: The Old Country, a 2K Games title launching August 8, as well as Claire Obscur: Expedition 33. Both games benefit from DLSS4 features such as Multi-Frame Generation, DLSS Super Resolution, and Nvidia Reflex, designed to boost frame rates and reduce input latency for GeForce RTX 40 and 50 series users.
The update also adds support for 62 new G-Sync compatible monitors from brands including Acer, ASUS, LG, Samsung, and MSI, expanding options for gamers seeking smoother, tear-free gameplay across a variety of hardware.
In a notable move, Nvidia announced it will continue Game Ready Driver support for all GeForce RTX GPUs on Windows 10 until October 6, 2026—one year beyond Microsoft’s official support cutoff. The decision comes as Windows 10 still accounts for a significant portion of the PC gaming market, according to recent data from Steam.
Legacy hardware users will see their final Game Ready Driver in October 2025, affecting GPUs based on Maxwell, Pascal, and Volta architectures. While performance updates will cease, Nvidia will continue to deliver quarterly security patches for these models through October 2028. CUDA support for these GPUs will end with the next CUDA Toolkit release.
Driver version 580.88 also includes several bug fixes across popular titles. These include artifact corrections in World of Warcraft and Battlefield 2042, crash fixes in Control and Dirt 5, and performance improvements for Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered and Cyberpunk 2077.
