OnePlus has launched the OnePlus 15R globally, positioning the smartphone as a more affordable alternative to its higher-end OnePlus 15 while introducing one of the largest batteries yet in a mainstream flagship-style device.
The OnePlus 15R replaces the OnePlus 13R and is among the first smartphones to ship with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. The device pairs the chipset with 12 GB of LPDDR5X memory and either 256 GB or 512 GB of UFS 4.1 storage. It is powered by a 7,400 mAh battery with support for 80-watt wired charging, a capacity that OnePlus says is aimed at users seeking extended endurance.

The handset features a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,272 by 2,800 pixels and a variable refresh rate of up to 165 Hz. According to OnePlus, the screen can reach 1,800 nits of peak brightness, though higher refresh rates are limited to supported applications, with the device defaulting to lower modes in other scenarios.
On the camera side, the OnePlus 15R includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. The company acknowledged some trade-offs to keep costs down, including the use of a USB 2.0 Type-C port instead of faster standards. The phone’s weight ranges from 213 to 219 grams depending on the color option.
