Pinterest is rolling out new AI-driven upgrades to its personal boards, transforming them into more interactive and shoppable experiences. The updates, set to become available globally over the next few months, will offer personalized recommendations and improved organization for users’ saved Pins.
The redesigned boards introduce several new tabs to enhance browsing and curation. The “Make it yours” tab focuses on fashion and select home décor boards, suggesting products and content to help users translate inspiration into actionable ideas. The “More ideas” tab provides related Pin suggestions across other categories, including beauty, recipes, and art, while “All saves” consolidates previously saved Pins for easy access.
Pinterest is also experimenting with AI-driven collages called “Styled for you” in the United States and Canada. These dynamic collages allow users to mix and match fashion items from their saved Pins, creating personalized outfits that can be explored and purchased directly through the platform.
Another test feature, “Boards made for you,” combines editorial curation with AI-powered recommendations to deliver tailored boards to users’ home feeds and inboxes. These boards showcase trending styles, weekly outfit ideas, and other engaging content, aimed at inspiring users and providing a more interactive shopping experience.
Pinterest executives said the updates are part of an ongoing effort to make boards central to the platform’s user experience. The company emphasized that AI enhancements are designed to move users from passive inspiration to active engagement, integrating discovery, personalization, and commerce seamlessly within its boards.
