Pocketpair has announced that its hit survival game Palworld will launch version 1.0 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC via Steam in 2026, ending its current early access phase. The announcement comes even as the studio faces an ongoing lawsuit from Nintendo over alleged intellectual property copying.
The studio revealed the update through its official YouTube channel, accompanied by a roadmap outlining new features planned for after the console release. Pocketpair stressed that it would not rush development, focusing instead on delivering a polished final version.
“The team preferred not to rush and do a quality work in order to have an optimal result,” said Bucky, the company’s communications director, in the announcement.
Fans have welcomed news of the full release, but uncertainties remain as Nintendo’s lawsuit continues. Analysts say the trial could still affect the timeline or scope of the project.
Pocketpair has indicated that new gameplay features will be limited toward the end of 2025, with more details on the exact release schedule expected in the coming months. Whether legal proceedings will ultimately delay the project “remains to be seen,” the studio acknowledged.
