Porsche electric vehicle owners will now be able to recharge at Tesla’s Supercharger stations across North America, the German carmaker said, marking a step toward broader compatibility between rival EV brands.

The new option gives Porsche drivers access to more than 23,500 Superchargers in the United States, Canada and Mexico. The company said the transition will begin with a soft launch phase, requiring owners to use Tesla’s mobile app before charging services are fully integrated into Porsche’s own platform.

“All 2026 Taycan and Macan Electric models will come equipped with the adapter at no extra cost,” Porsche said in a statement. “For current 2025 Taycan and Macan Electric drivers, the adapter will be provided free of charge.”

Owners of older Porsche EVs will be able to purchase the adapter for $185 through the company’s website or retail outlets.

The update follows a wider trend in the industry as automakers adopt the North American Charging Standard (NACS), developed by Tesla, to improve network access for their customers. Porsche said its software updates will also add Tesla stations to in-car navigation alongside existing networks, including Electrify America and Ionna.

By broadening charging access, the brand aims to reassure customers about range convenience as the shift to electrification continues.
