Retroid has released its first live photographs of the Pocket 6 handheld gaming device, giving consumers an initial look at the hardware ahead of planned shipments early next year. The images mark the first time the company has shown the physical product since announcing the Android-based device in October.
The photos, published on Retroid’s social media channels, show two of the six available color options and confirm that the Pocket 6 will be offered in two distinct layouts. One version places the D-Pad above the analog stick, while the other positions it below, catering to different user preferences.
The black variant shown features the D-Pad at the top, while a second unit in an orange shade—appearing closer to yellow—places the D-Pad at the bottom. The images also show the rear and underside of the device, highlighting air vents, rear buttons and the arrangement of ports.
According to its specifications, the Pocket 6 includes a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with 1080p resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. “The Retroid Pocket 6 has a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with a 1080p resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate,” the original product description said, adding that it will be available with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

Retroid said the Pocket 6 will ship with Android 13 and include a 6,000mAh battery, along with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3 support. The first batch of pre-orders is expected to begin shipping in January 2026, while a second batch is scheduled to ship from March, the company said.
