Fans attending NHL games at Las Vegas’s T-Mobile Arena are being served drinks by a robot bartender developed using Nvidia’s robotics software and hardware, marking a high-profile deployment of artificial intelligence in a public entertainment venue.
The robot, known as ADAM, short for Automated Dual Arm Mixologist, was developed by Las Vegas-based Richtech Robotics to help address labour shortages in the hospitality industry while offering a distinctive customer experience. “The hospitality industry faces significant labor challenges, and ADAM is our answer to meeting those needs while elevating the customer experience,” said Matt Casella, president of Richtech Robotics.

Before being deployed at the arena, ADAM was trained in a simulated environment using Nvidia Isaac Sim, an open-source robotics simulation framework built on Nvidia Omniverse. Richtech created a high-fidelity virtual replica of the robot’s workstation to generate synthetic data, enabling ADAM to recognise objects and operate under challenging conditions such as glare and reflections.
ADAM runs on Nvidia’s Jetson AGX Orin edge AI platform and uses Isaac ROS 2 libraries to process camera data and calibrate its workspace in real time. Nvidia said the system allows the robot to detect cups, measure liquid levels and adjust movements with less than 40 milliseconds of latency.

Richtech Robotics is also applying Nvidia’s technology to industrial automation through Dex, a mobile humanoid robot designed for factory and warehouse tasks. Nvidia said Dex was trained using a combination of real-world data and synthetic data from Isaac Sim, demonstrating how the same AI tools can be extended beyond hospitality into industrial settings.
