Samsung Electronics announced it will deploy its Galaxy S25 Ultra smartphones throughout the SLS Super Crown World Championship in São Paulo, Brazil, marking a new phase in its collaboration with Street League Skateboarding (SLS). The devices will be mounted directly onto the competition course to capture cinematic footage and new angles for global audiences.
According to Samsung, the initiative is intended to reshape how fans experience skateboarding by offering a close-up view of tricks, reactions and atmosphere. Rayssa Leal, three-time SLS Super Crown World Champion and Team Samsung Galaxy athlete, worked on the creative implementation of the system. “Skateboarding has always been about sharing moments, from tricks to emotions, capturing it all is part of our culture,” Leal said. “I’m thrilled that fans can experience each moment the same way I feel it on my board. It makes competing even more special.”

Thrill Sports, the parent company of SLS, said the partnership aligns closely with the sport’s history of camera-driven storytelling. Brett Clarke, Chief Revenue Officer at Thrill Sports, noted: “Skateboarding has always been a sport where the camera is part of the culture — from filming clips and tricks, to fostering creativity and connection.”
